Dundalk Sub-Aqua Search & Rescue

Cooley Mountains Sponsored Charity Hill Walk
In Aid of Down Syndrome & Aware

Saturday 19th June 2010

Dundalk Sub-Aqua Search & Rescue have organised this charity walk across the Cooley Mountains on Saturday 19th June, 2010 in aid of two very worthy causes: Down Syndrome and Aware.

It is a 20K hike commencing in Omeath village at 10.00am and taking in Slieve Foy and the Long Woman’s Grave. There are spectacular views of Carlingford Lough and Dundalk Bay. Medium level of fitness is required as there is a climb but this quickly levels out to a stroll, followed by a steep decline.

Great craic is guaranteed – and you MUST bring your camera to capture the magnificent views.

Sponsorship Cards are available. A minimum of €25 is required per Walker. A soup and sandwich will be served at the end and is included in the entry fee.

This is the second annual Hill Walk organised by Dundalk Sub-Aqua (in conjunction with Cuchulainn Gaels) and is run as part of their major annual Charity Finn Swim from Omeath to Warrenpoint which this year will take place on Sunday 27th June, (a week after the Hill Walk). But first the Cooley Hill Walk.

Please ensure appropriate clothing – no jeans or runners!!

For further information please contact Arthur on 0878334113 or John on 0879970473.
